About Karen

Karen Trackman, PT, DPT, PCS operates Growing Steps Physical Therapy.  Since 2001, Karen has been providing high level physical therapy care in the greater Washington metropolitan area. Karen’s practice focuses on the pediatric population, including infants, children and teens. Karen has worked with clients in both hospital and outpatient settings, including Children’s National Medical Center and as a contractor for the Montgomery County Infants and Toddlers Program. Through Growing Steps PT, Karen provides physical therapy treatment to children in their own homes, daycares, and schools.

Karen earned her Master’s Degree of Physical Therapy at Washington University in St. Louis, received her Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) from Shenandoah University, and attained her Pediatric Certification Specialty (PCS) designation through the APTA in 2015. Recently, in 2018, she also became a Certified Educator of Infant Massage (CEIM) through Infant Massage USA. She has experience treating children of all ages — from newborns to high school athletes — with a wide range of diagnoses, including: developmental delay, torticollis, brachial plexus, neurologic impairments such as cerebral palsy, injury recovery, sports injuries, and chronic orthopedic issues. She treats children of all ages from newborns to high school athletes. Karen takes pride in keeping current on the latest treatment techniques and providing the highest level of care to her patients.
